Who is Steve?

Hey there. I lost my boyfriend Dale to suicide in November, 2000.

I had come out in 1993/94 and navigated the treacherous waters of a contentious divorce. Dale was a little older than me but just a year or so into his coming-out journey.

He was a sweet and wonderful guy, an amazing gift in my life.

Losing him, losing us, having life turned upside-down so abruptly, put me on a healing journey that is still a work in progress. Much good and healthy stuff has unfolded since 2000, and yet I don't feel like I've found my voice on this.

With the Queer Suicide site, I'm going to explore my voice and invite others to do the same.
